Daniel Guzman

Daniel J. Guzman February 26, 1953-January 12, 2016 Dan was born in Hotchkiss, CO to Lewis and Grace (Poundstone) Guzman and the oldest of four boys. He attended high school at Grand Junction High School and eventually joined the Army, where he earned his diploma while serving his country in Nuremberg, Germany as a SP4. Dan loved to hund, fish, camp, and just enjoy the outdoors. His family was important to him and he would help in any way possible. Dan had been employed as a truck driver in the construction industry for 37 years. He also had worked as a construction operator for 20 years. Dan married Barbara S. Garcia in 1977 and were together for 38 years. They had four children, twins Keysha Guzman(Alex Archuleta), Linda Guzman(Rob White), their only son Victor Guzman(Jennifer) Trujillo), and the youngest Teresa Guzman all of Grand Junction, CO. Dan also had two children from a previous marriage, Aaron Wirth(Laura), of Grand Junction, CO and Staci Wirth of Arizona. He is survived by all his children and his brothers Richard (Janet) Guzman, Joe (Lisa) Guzman, Nick (Kathy) Guzman, all of Grand Junction, CO. Along with 17 grandchildren. Proceeded in death by his wife Barbara, both of his parents, older sister, Linda, granddaughter Cateleya, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Memorial services will be on Friday, January 29th, 2016 at 11:00am at Brown’s Cremation and Funeral Service, 904 N. 7th Street, Grand Junction, with a burial following at 1:00 pm at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery 2830 Riverside Parkway, Grand Junction, CO.
