Helen Toro 82, of Grand Junction, CO and formerly of No Scituate, RI passed away peacefully on October 14 th at the HopeWest Hospice Comfort Center with family by her side. Helen is the beloved wife of Emanuel (Manny) Toro and celebrated their 62nd Anniversary on October 12th. Born February 23, 1935 she is the daughter of the late Joseph (Louis) and Helen DeNoncour. Helen is the Mother of Karen (Robert) Pinkham of Palm Coast FL, Deborah (Charles) Campbell of Grand Junction CO, Cheryl (Jay) Legg of Dorchester NH and David (Cindy) Toro of No. Scituate RI. She is the Grandmother of 7, Great Grandmother of 6, and Great Great Grandmother of 1. Helen is also survived by her brother Joseph DeNoncour of No. Providence RI, and her sister, Catherine (Roland) Berthiume of Seekonk MA., and predeceased by her sister Diane (Mac), Macomber.
Helen raised her 4 children as a loving Homemaker in R.I. She then moved to Grand Junction in 1990. There she supported her husband Manny in his business of 25 years with Rainbow Vacuum Cleaners. Helen also played a large role in her daughter and son in laws downtown Grand Junction businesses.
Helen was incredibly creative in every aspect of her life. Home design, decorating and landscaping was her passion. Making everything beautiful was her mission.
Helen will be dearly missed by all who have had the pleasure to know her.
A Private Memorial Service is being held in Grand Junction and another Memorial Service will be held in RI at a later date.
