Joseph Silva

Joseph Silva, age 40, of Grand Junction, CO passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, December 6, 2015 at his residence. Born July 13, 1975 in Price, Utah, he was the son of Jose Luis Silva of Mexico and Pearl Lopez of Grand Junction, CO. Joe was a High School graduate and had also attended college. Even though Joe had other jobs in his life, he was most proud of being a "stay-at-home Dad". Joe's favorite activity was spending time with friends and family. He loved his nieces and nephews and they loved him. They always enjoyed going to his house, and also having Uncle Joe shuttled them to school and back. More than anything in the world, Joe loved his daughter Jordynn. She was the joy of his life and the reason for his existence. In addition to his parents and his daughter, Joe is survived by two sisters, Carmen (Hank) McKay of Dinosaur, CO, Angela (Micky) Labrum, Grand Junction, and his nieces and nephews, Ty, Alexsis, Kaden, Zamee, Little Joe, and Aerie. He was preceded in death by his best friend, Landon Allen. Funeral services and recitation of the Rosary will start at 6 p.m. on Friday, December 11, 2015 at Brown's Chapel, 904 N. 7th Street, Grand Junction. Friends and family who would like to tell a story or say a few words about Joe, may do so at the service. All are welcome.
