Kim went to heaven on December 02, 2022, at the age of 68. She Passed peacefully at HopeWest Hospice in Grand Junction following a sudden illness. She was born on March 22, 1954, in Paris TX. She was preceded in death by Arthur and Bobbye Burnett (parents), Dale Wilson (husband), Kurt Burnett (brother) and Tanya Ames (niece). Kim graduated as a straight A student at Sahuaro High School in Tucson, AZ.
Kim enjoyed reading Stephen King and Dean Koontz novels as well as dancing, going to the river or lake, she also spent some time sewing and drawing. She absolutely loved hanging out with her grandchildren and her beloved dog, Cowboy. She was a very hard worker, open minded and supportive, quirky and she had a great sense of humor. Kim was a very strong woman, she was a cancer survivor, a very loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She would drop whatever she was doing in a heartbeat to help the ones she loved, and loved doing it. Coming from her grandson Preston "Meme always loved and valued her family no matter what and she was not selfish."
Kim is survived by sister Kathy Phillips (Bill) of Matheson, 4 children, Michelle Marvin of Denver, Michael Marvin (Christina) of Denver, Sharla Taylor (Ryan) of Grand Junction, and Angela Ellis (Robert) and 7 grand children, Xavier Marvin, Preston Williams, Robert, Joaline, Joslyn and Derrick Ellis and Parker Marvin as well as her significant other Greg Bowser.
The Celebration of Life's will be located at the American Legion 11081 Irma Dr. in Denver, 80233. on December 15th at 2pm and 432 Morning Dove Dr. in Grand Junction, 81504 on December 28th at 3pm.
Kim will always be remembered and loved by everyone who knew her.
