Linda D. Lockhart passed away while under Hospice care on August 10, 2016, after a long battle with lung cancer.
She was born on August 22, 1943, in Tulsa, OK to William and Marcheta Lockhart.
Linda graduated from Moffat County High School. She attended Phillips University in Enid, OK, and Mesa College in Grand Junction, where she studied music and performed in concerts, musicals, and churches.
She worked in real estate, sales, interior decorating, and antiques. She resided in many states throughout her life including California, Illinois, Connecticut, Arizona, and Colorado.
Linda enjoyed reading mysteries, crossword puzzles, traveling, antiquing, artwork, and tennis. She loved dogs, and later in life learned to like cats. Linda worked to have her Colorado home included on the Colorado Historic Register.
Linda is preceded in death by her father, William "Bill" Lockhart, and sister, Nancy Lockhart Grecian. She is survived by her mother, Marcheta Lockhart; sister, Billie Lockhart Luckett; son, Kurt Laubhan; daughter, Laura Laubhan Taylor; son-in-law, Patrick Taylor, and grandsons, David Laubhan, Dale Laubhan, and Lawson Taylor.
A life celebration with family and friends is planned for Sunday, August 21, 2016, from 3 - 5:00 p.m. at 129 Columbine Drive, Grand Junction, and will conclude with final commencement at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Bob Labig from Orchard Mesa Christian Church presiding.
