Loy James Gorman passed away December 27, 2017, at Community hospital in Grand Junction, CO. He was born in Batavia, Iowa to Charlie Alva and Mary Elizabeth Loy. He was an electrician and farmer. He served in the army from 1951-1953.
He was a loving husband and father. He loved to travel and made several trips to western Colorado; and in 1997, he moved to Montrose, Colorado, where he lived until he and his wife Gloria moved to Grand Junction in June of 2017. He is survived by his wife Gloria, his son Dennis Gorman (Lisa) of the Philippines,
two sisters, Ruth Lezear and LuAnn Davis both of Batavia, Iowa, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and three stepchildren of Grand Junction and Craig. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Beverly Milby, and grandson Zane Gorman. A military honor service will be held at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 2830 Riverside Pkwy., Grand Junction, CO on Friday, January, 5th at 3:00 p.m.
Loy was very much loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
