LuLu Maude Ziegler

Lu Ziegler (80) of the Grand Valley passed away Monday December 4, 2017 at the Courtyard Care Center in Fruita after a long battle with ovarian cancer and dementia.

Lu was born April 25, 1937 in Reno, Nevada, daughter of Albert and Emma Jones.  She was raised on farms in Nevada andColorado.  Lu married Albert Ziegler, March 1, 1955 in Grand Junction, to this union three children were born; Linda, Michael, and Catherine.

Lu was a loving Wife, Mom, Grandma, and Friend.  Lu found great pleasure in spending time with her children and grandchildren.  They all gave her reason to smile.  In her retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her husband and visited 49 states and Canada in their RV.  They enjoyed winter months in Mexico, Arizona, and Texas.  Having coffee with friends and helping neighbors were a big part of Lu's life.  She loved animals and gardening.  Lu never met a stranger and was always full of life.

Lu is survived by her three children Linda (Steve) Wareham, Fruita, Michael (Diana) Ziegler, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Catherine Ziegler of Fruita.  Three grandchildren: Cassidy Ziegler, Allison Ziegler, and Jacob Ziegler.
