Roger Atkinson

Roger William Atkinson beloved husband, father, son, passed away at the age of 58 on September 3, 2021 following a sudden illness.  He was born on July 4, 1963 to George and Shirley Atkinson, Salt Lake City, Utah.  Roger graduated from Alta High School and Salt Lake City Community College, Utah.  He owned Certified Systems with AAA Auto Club for 19 ½ years, Marketing Director with Larry H. Miller for over 9 years and was a DSP Contractor for the last 1 ½ years in Thornton, Colorado.  He spent 56 years in the Salt Lake City area and then he found a new love in Grand Junction, Colorado.  He enjoyed taking care of people, cooking, antiquing, and traveling.  Roger looked for ways to make people laugh, he was a mentor, and a man of integrity.  He attended Victory Life Church in Fruita, Colorado.  He was preceded in death by: Chadwin R Atkinson (son 2011), Polly Atkinson (spouse 2018).  He is survived by his son Cameron Atkinson, fiancé Michelle Hahn, parents George and Shirley Atkinson, two sisters, two brothers, and many nieces and nephews.  There will be two Celebration of Life services in Grand Junction, Colorado and Herriman, Utah.
