Adeline Ann Gador passed peacefully on February 2, 2022. Adie was 89 years old and enjoyed living in Grand Junction, CO for the past 4 years. Adie was raised a Vanyo and
her grandfather Joseph and his wife Helen, migrated to America around 1886 from Czechoslovakia. Joseph was a coal minor before heading west and settling in Tabor,
MN where his family farmed for many years. Joseph’s son Mike and his wife Rose moved to Grand Forks, ND where they raised 9 children including 8 boys and one
daughter, Adeline. Adie met and married Bob Gador while working at the Kegs Drive-In.
Bob and Adie had 3 boys who were all raised in Grand Forks. Bob passed away in 2010 and Adie continued living in Grand Forks for 8 more years before moving to Grand
Junction. Adie was a tough cookie being raised in the 30’s as a sister to 8 brothers and then later a mother of 3 boys. She usually put up a tough exterior when you first met her but
softened as she got to know you. Adie was a prolific estate shopper and became quite knowledgeable in antiques, especially vintage Roseville pottery. She also volunteered at
the local Thrift Store for many years, where she enjoyed the customer interactions, while keeping a keen eye open for special pieces that sometimes came in. She also
enjoyed every Christmas season dipping those famous chocolate covered potato chips at Whidman’s Candy and shipping them all over the world.
Adie adjusted very well to her time in Grand Junction. Her oldest son Greg, wife Lauri and their foster son Ty provided daily contact and care that made those her happiest
years since losing Bob. Unfortunately a fall resulted in a broken femur that was too much even for this tough cookie to overcome at 89 years old.
Adie is survived by two brothers, Mike and Ray, her 3 sons; Greg (Lauri), Richard (Nancy) and Brad (Sue), 4 grandchildren; Lisa, Stephanie, Brandon and Jordan and 7 and 9/10’s great grandchildren.
