Annie Amador Montano passed away peacefully on December 16, 2014 at her home in Grand Junction, CO. She was born on September 20, 1920 in Sopris, CO to Estanislado (Stanley) Amador and daria Macias Amador. Annie attended Lincoln High School in Sopris, CO., received her high school diploma and went on to complete a course in cosmetology. Annie was employed at Jamieson's Department Store as a seamstress for 16 years until the store closed. Annie also worked at mt. San Rafael Hospital. Annie married Julian E. Montano on February 20, 1977 in Denver, Co where they resided for twenty years, returning to Trinidad when Julian retired from the Regional Transportation District (RTD) in Denver. Annie was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers: Jess, Joe, Victor and Steve Amador; sisters Sarah, Josephine, Dolores Amador and Esther Aquilar. She is survived by Patty Amador Mills and nephew Chad Mills of Grand Junction, nephew Charles Amador of Cedar City, UT, stepson Arnold Montano of Westminster, CO, cousin Duncan McArther of Grand Junction, numerous other relatives. Annie's strength, courage and faith were demonstrated by surviving lung cancer for 14 years. Annie was a very loving and spiritual lady always putting others first. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. Private services were held in Grand Junction, Co.
