Anita Raff

Anita Mears Raff, 93, passed away February 22, 2022, following a brief illness.

Anita, or “Nita” to her family and friends, was born July 19, 1928, in Alice, Texas. She was the third of five children born to James and Lenora Mears. She married Robert Dale Raff February 16, 1947, and they were married 72 years at the time of his death in 2019.

Anita enjoyed being a wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and her greatest joy came from her family. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, baking and spoiling her grands and greatgrands. She loved playing games with friends and working the daily newspaper crossword puzzle. She was a faithful member of Cross Point Church in Grand Junction.

Anita is survived by one sister, Marinell Hurst of Midland, Texas; sons Bobby (Dee) Raff of Cleveland, Tennessee; Jimmy (Sherry) Raff of Clifton, Colorado; grandchildren Amber, Brian and Bret, and great-grandchildren Aubrey, Austin, Ahnna, Anderson and Josiah, as well many nieces and nephews who loved and honored her.

A celebration of her life will be held Monday, February 28, 2022, 11am at Cross Point Church, 2697 Hwy 50, Orchard Mesa

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Cross Point Church Building Fund.
