Anna Matticks

Anna Michelle Matticks was born in Alliance, NE to Bob and Linda (Paulek) Matticks.  She passed away on May 8, 2021, she was 52.  She spent most of her life in Grand Junction, CO and graduated from GJHS. After a short time in El Paso, TX she moved back to Grand Junction where she raised her two boys and had many friends that she considered family.

Anna had an innate ability to create just about anything and a passion for helping others.  If she could help you, she would.  She was so creative! She was always making things from crafts, pottery sculptures, jewelry, etc.  She could bake the best cookies and sweet treats and could whip up a delicious meal out of limited ingredients.  She was a wizard in the kitchen.

Anna was brilliant and very talented, but with that came a mind that was hard to settle.  Her struggles were difficult to overcome.  She is survived by her sons, Robert and Christopher, her father and stepmother Bob and Jan Matticks, her sister Bonnie Matticks and step brother Brett (Deborah) Atkinson. She is preceded in death by her mother Linda Matticks, her sister Lori Matticks, and her step brother Kelly Atkinson.

Memorial services will be held on Friday May 14th,  at 3:00, at Brown’s Crematorium and Funeral Services.  Donations can be made to The House, www.thehousegj.org
