Anthony Mitchell

On March 6th, 2015 Heaven gained another wonderful soul.  Anthoney E. Mitchell lost his battle with lung cancer.

"Tony" was born June 13, 1941 in Coffeville, Kansas to Eugene Ayers & Mary Ann Mitchell.  He attended school there along with his half brother Bill Cotheram.  Tony enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.  While in the Marines he met and married the love of  his life Billee Rosette.  They were married November 22, 1961.

In June of 1963 Tony and Billee welcomed their son David.  After leaving the Marine Corps, Tony and his family moved to Palisade, Colorado.  Tony was very involved in the Boy Scouts of America, he was a dedicated leader.  He helped many young men attain the rank of Eagle Scout, as well as helping them become men and leaders.  Tony served on the Palisade Town Board a number of years.  Tony worked in many fields during his life mostly in customer service.

Tony is preceded in death by his beloved Billee, as well as his parents.  He is survived by his son David, his brother Bill, and several nieces and nephews.

A grave side service will be held at the Palisade Cemetery on Friday, March 20th at 1:00 PM.
