Anthony Shawn Summers

Anthony Shawn Summers, age 34 died in his home July 20, 2024.

Born July 2,1990 in Grand Junction, Colorado: the beloved son of John Kemp and Teri Summers.

Tony graduated from Central High School, and joined the Navy as a GSM. After the Navy, Tony completed an Associates Degree in HVAC at Intellitec College in Grand Junction, Colorado. He enjoyed working as a Technician at Amico for many years. 

Tony enjoyed hunting, camping, and fishing. He loved spending time with his family. At family gatherings, Tony could often be found playing with his nieces and nephew entertaining them with his handy tape measure and various gadgets. Tony was an avid reader; he enjoyed science fiction and fantasy novels with his favorite author being Brandon Sanderson. One of his favorite subjects was history, but his favorite topics were the history of ghost towns and the history of his hometown. Tony was always ready to watch a good movie or TV show. 

Tony was a man of few words with a heart of gold. Always willing to lend a helping hand or just give you an ear to listen. He was supportive, caring, hardworking, and genuinely cared about everybody.

Tony was preceded in death by: Grandparents: Kay and Kenny Summers, Mother: Teri Summers and Stepmother: Hatti Kemp

Tony is survived by: Grandparents: Helen and Kenneth Kemp, Father: John Kemp, Siblings: Devin (Brandi) Abbott, Hailee Summers, Michael Kemp, Aaron (Teirsa) Kemp, Lindsey Kemp, Remington Summers, and Chad Smith. Nieces: Avery Abbott, Evelyn Abbott, Ashlynn Kemp, and Bailee Kemp. Nephew: Connor Kemp
