April 17, 1956 — February 10, 2021

April Louise (Newton)King, 64, of Grand Junction, Colorado, died February 10, 2021.

April was born April 17, 1956 to Melvin and Betty Newton in Lexington, Nebraska.

She had a sense of humor that would have you laughing months later when you recalled the event.  April attended school in Gardena, California before moving to Shandon, California where she, her husband, and son resided for many years.  She spent many years as a cook at Jack Ranch Café and enjoying life with her son, family and friends.

She moved to Colorado with her son to be near her loving and caring sister Faith in October 2019.

April is survived by the light of her life, her son Michael King, her brothers Carl Newton and his wife Eden, Scott Newton, Stanley Oldoerp and his wife Lisa, all of California, as well as her sisters Faith Aragon and her husband Lou of Colorado, Annette Newton and her husband John Sheldon of New Hampshire, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband Randy King, her brother John Newton, and her sister Yvonne Pomeroy.

To honor her request there will be no services.
