Obituary of Arlene
Holzschuh Arlene Marie Holzschuh, age 87,
passed away on April 10, 2018 in Grand
Junction, Colorado after a brief illness.
Arlene was born in Buffalo, NY, and was
the youngest of three daughters of Harry
and Veronica Robbins. Arlene graduated
from High School and met Nelson
Holzschuh, the love of her life shortly after.
Together they had three children, Dawn,
Scott and Colleen. Arlene enjoyed raising
her children, volunteering with the PTA
and various other organizations. She was
outgoing, friendly and lived life with gusto!
Arlene's favorite room in her home was
her kitchen ... she loved to cook, bake and
sing. She belonged to her church choir and
sang in an adult choir in Florida. After the
kids left home, Arlene went to work for
TOPS in Buffalo and eventually became a
successful Mary Kay Consultant. Together
Arlene and Nelson enjoyed many years of
camping, hiking and traveling. After
Nelson passed away in 1992, Arlene sold
their home in Wales Center, NY and
headed to Florida to enjoy the sunshine,
sand and warmth after living in cold and
snowy Buffalo. She loved “her” Florida! In
2006, Arlene left the warmth of Florida and
moved to Grand Junction, Colorado to be
closer to her son and grandchildren.
Arlene is survived by her daughters Dawn
Terry and Colleen Rein, son Scott (Leslie)
and their 3 children Tim (Liz), Ben (Lauren)
and Kaelyn Clarke (Nick). Additionally,
Arlene has 1 great grandson, Jacob. A
family memorial service will be scheduled
later.
