Master Sergeant Arlie Gene Shaw, USAF, Retired
Arlie Gene Shaw, 87, of Grand Junction, CO passed
away Monday, November 10, 2014 at the VA Medical
Center.
Born August 19, 1927 in Julesburg, Co to the late Fred and Elsie (France) Shaw.
He enlisted in the Army Air Corp in 1946. He served during three wars; WWII, Korea,
and Vietnam. He retired from the Air Force in 1971.
He married Dorothy Lundberg, June 9, 1956 and together they raised two children.
Arlie enjoyed sports, woodworking, fishing, riding his ATV, and his dog Lady. He
was a generous man and always willing to help.
Survivors include daughter Debbie (Nate) Green, Grand Junction, CO, son Terry
(Sharon) Shaw, Calhan, CO, sister Bonnie Ulrich, Greeley, CO, seven grandchildren,
Holly (Joe) Weaver, Jerry (Elizabeth) Foth, Kristen (Chad) Burnside, Dustin Shaw,
Amy Owens, Matthew Green, Elizabeth Martin; fifteen great grandchildren and
three great-great grandchildren.
Services with Military Honors will be Friday, November 21, 2014, at 3 p.m. at
Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado, 2830 Riverside Parkway,
Grand Junction, CO, followed by a Celebration of Life in the Aspen Room at
