Barbara Carter

Barbara Mae Carter, age 81 died September 13, 2022, following a sudden illness. Born February 5, 1941, in Fresno, CA to the late William and Ruth Adams, also from Moab where Barbara met her true love and husband for near 63 years, Roy LaGrand Carter.

Barbara graduated from Grand County High School in 1958. Barbara was employed as a CNS taking care of her loving husband LaGrand for the past 5 or 6 years where they both resided in Grand Junction, Colorado. Barbara also worked at the Moab Golf Club for 11 years where LaGrand also worked so they could be close together, the two were always together!

Barbara loved to shop, bowl and golf. She loved to read books and cook… nothing better than to cook for anyone who stopped by or cook at family BBQ’s, Thanksgiving, and her favorite holiday CHRISTMAS! She loved family get-togethers so she could enjoy all the nieces and nephews who loved her so much - nothing better than a Twitchell-Carter reunion.

Barbara knew no strangers and all who met her loved her. She loved to shop so she could see her friends at the stores. She loved to get her hair done so she could be pretty of course but also so she could talk to her ladies!

Barbara is survived by her amazing loving husband LaGrand Carter, Mother to Susie (Carter) Mason and Ty Carter, Grandmother to Sharee Mitchell, Rabecka Yano, Kyle Mason and Curtis Carter, Great Grandmother to Eli, Sienna, Peyton, Rylee, Bella and Bentley.
