Betty Green

Betty Sarah Greene of Grand Junction Co passed away on November 1, 2021 she was 81. A memorial service will be held on Monday November 29th at 2:00 PM at new vision Assembly of God, 832 S 7th St Grand Junction.  A burial service will follow at Elmwood cemetery 1175 17 1/4 road in Fruita Co.

Betty was born on June 24th 1940 to Sam and Helen Otero of Fruita Co she was the oldest of four children and grew up in the small town of Fruita and graduated from Fruita High School in 1958 . She went on to marry have seven children and even graduated Beauty College. Throughout her life Betty enjoyed many hobbies... sewing (for both missions and her children), cooking, reading (she always had a large stack of books she was reading through), antique and thrift store shopping and hitting all the yard sales.  Betty loved the Lord faithfully, attended church and was part of Home League women’s group with Salvation Army for many years.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, brother Bill Otero, daughters Cindy Green Alexander and Tiffany Green she is survived by her sisters Ruby Deal, Rose Buskirk and her children Debra Cole, Lori Day, William Green, Rhonda Upchurch, BethAnne Hunter as well as her 13 grandchildren and three great great grandchildren
