Betty Rae Jones

Betty Rae Jones passed away March 14 at the age of 95. 

She was born in Craig, Colorado to Raymond Plattner and Ella (Cook) Plattner on January 22 1930. She is preceded in death by her husband Doug Jones, son Ralph Jones, son in-law Tom Barclay and two great grand daughters Alisha and Ariana Babcock. 

She is survived by her son Gordon (Grace) Jones, daughters Marlyn Barclay and Kathleen (Dennis) Romero. Grand kids Preston( Jamie) Babcock. Casey (Tabatha) Jones, Travis (Sharon) Jones, Gregg Barclay, Devan ( Kristine) Barclay  and Andrea (Dakota) Romero. 10 great grandkids and 5 great great grand kids.

Betty Rae was a very talented lady . There was pretty much nothing she couldn't do.  She sewed, She did upholstery, She knitted, cross stitched and helped with 4-H.   She helped with her kids in 4-H but mostly she was involved in the ranch. Her family had a sheep ranch in Oak Creek, CO.  They ran sheep out of Bonanza, Maybell and Oak Creek.  After the ranch was sold, she moved to Fruita and lived with her son and his wife in 2019. She really enjoyed how little snow we had to deal with.
