Betty Marguerite McCorkle gained her wings on September 29, 2021 peacefully in her sleep at her house located in the Grand Valley. She worked for USDA rule development for 27 years helping many families obtain good housing she also worked up from clerk typist to community development manager in the Grand Junction office, she ended up retiring in April 2005. Betty loved to paint, bake and play with her puppies.
Betty was born on July 20, 1951 in Gunnison Colorado to Clinton Smith and Rhoda Berryhill she is survived by her brother Bill White (Twila) two sons Robert Myers, Mike Myers (Kim) nieces Shellye White-Lange (Scott) Alison White. Great nieces Trenna Kaiser and Ashley Guess. Grandchildren Heather Myers, Blake Adair, Sierra Sherman, Lisa Myers, Austin Myers, Brittany Oburn-White, Shaun Oburn-White and Savannah White-Dietert as well as many great grandchildren. Betty is preceded in death by both parents, brother Robert White, son Paul White and step son Marvy McCorkle Jr. Betty will be greatly missed.
Services will be held On Friday, October 8 at 1pm at Long family Memorial Park in the Grand Mesa Shelter on the south side of the park.
