Beverly Ann Mathes

Beverly Ann Mathes of Fruita was born March 20, 1940 and passed January 13, 2024 in her home peacefully with loved ones at her side, along with her Standard Poodle Fame and Kitty Ninya as she would have done the same for us.

In her teens, her small family moved from New York City to Colorado, where she discovered her love for animals.  That landed her a  life long career in the Pet Industry over a 30 year span.  She was also an amazing oil painter.

Through an appaloosa horse named Savage, she met her future husband Jack.  They were married in 1957 and had 3 children.

Bev's huge sense of humor, amazing energy along with a positive approach to life will be so missed by many.

She is survived by her 2 daughters Pam (Gary) Hunt, Kayleen (Kirby) Burchett, 5 Grand Children, 7 Great Grand Children and 1 Great Great Granddaughter.

Bev is preceded in death by Jack, her son Shane and brother Thomas Boylan.

We want to thank and are so grateful to HopeWest Hospice for helping with her end of life care.   There will be no service.
