The world has lost a special kind of person, but Heaven has gained a beautiful angel. Billie G. Mobley went to heaven on Friday, July 19th, 2024. Born February 9th, 1949, he shared a birthday with his beautiful wife, Tammy Mobley, who preceded him in death in February 2019. He was also preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Mobley; father, Charles Mobley; brother, Dwaine Mobley; sister, Judye Mobley; and his aunt and uncle, Norene and Sam Tow. He has joined them in heaven, assuredly laughing and dancing with them all, including the countless in-laws and fur-babies who went before him.
Bill was born in Silver City, New Mexico, and graduated from Farmington High School. As a US Air Force Veteran, he served in Vietnam. He was an electrician all his life but also worked as a Regional Manager in the oilfield for many years. Known throughout the church community, he had a great church family in Grand Junction, at the Apache Nation, and his Tres Dias family. Connection Church in Grand Junction was his home. He enjoyed spending time with his dog, family, and friends. If you knew him, you knew how compassionate he was toward others, his passion for God and Jesus Christ, and how much he loved his grandson, Kellyn. He was a shoulder to cry on for the sorrowful, and he rejoiced with the joyful. Much of his time was given to others; if you knew him, you were truly blessed. He liked those who told the truth, no matter the consequences, and those who were compassionate to others.
Billie is survived by his daughter, Alicia Crowell (Ivan Espinoza); sons Justin Mobley (Crystal Mobley), Rocky Sparks Jr., and Nicholas Mobley; and grandsons Kellyn James Mobley, Brandon Watkins, and Dustin Watkins. We will all miss him forever, as he has left a hole in our hearts.
