Billy Bingham

Billy Jene Bingham 86 of Grand Junction Colorado passed away January 5, 2021 at Hospice of natural causes.

Bill was born November 30, 1934 to LD and Ruby Bingham in Blackie Kentucky.

Bill met the love of his life, Yvonne at 3rd base playing baseball when he was 20 and she was 15 years old.  They were wed shortly afterwards.  They were married for 62 years and had   two children, Yvonne Gail and Jimmy David before her passing in 2017.

Over the years Bill and Yvonne invested in families of all ages with their time, money,  and love.  They were Grandpa and Grandma to many lives they touched.

Bill was blessed with many unique talents.  Without a college education he self taught himself in many fields of employment and became knowledgeable  and meticulous in those fields.   They  included carpentry, electrical, cabinetry, automotive and auto body.   He then proceeded to go into electronics and received a degree in TV and audio repair through the mail before   the evolution of the internet.  He was a man that believed you could accomplish what you determined to do.

Over the years he worked in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and on the launching pads at Cape Canaveral.

He was superintendent of Orchard Mesa Irrigation in the late seventies before  his career was cut short by a fall.  That didn’t stop him from educating others throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his wife - Yvonne Bingham, father - LD Bingham, mother- Ruby Stipe, brother-Benny Bingham , sister-Pauline McQueen, grandson-Brent White

He is survived by daughter Gail (Wes) White Grand Junction, son - Jimmy (Alba) Bingham Kimball, NE, 8 grand children, 4 great grand children, 2-brothers and 1-sister.

Memorial Services will be scheduled at a later date.
