Brenda Hooper

Brenda Sue Hooper, age 51, of Grand Junction, CO, passed away Monday, December 28, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Born September 20, 1964 in Joliet, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Ella Meade Hooper.

Brenda Sue was a woman of many talents and interests.  She was an avid reader, loved to dance and enjoyed jumping in the car just to explore and see the sights.  Not one to make snap decisions, she investigated things thoroughly before deciding.

She was a good cook, and everyone agrees, her potato salad was fabulous! The kids always wanted her to make her famous potato salad, but they would also eat the pickles before she could make the salad!  When she went shopping, she literally had to hide the pickles!

No matter what, Brenda Sue was optimistic.  She was sweet, loving and nurturing with an ability to make people laugh. We will miss her happy demeanor and beautiful smile.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a baby daughter, Rebecca Sue.

She is survived by seven children, Thelma (Patrick) Cushman, Pocatello, ID, Alvin Hooper, Emmett, ID, Sarah (John Madsen) Pollitz, Salt Lake, UT, Krystal Justice, Price, UT,  Kameron Justice, Grand Junction, CO, Logan Justice, Ferron, UT, and Christopher Hooper, Grand Junction, CO. Two brothers, Tom and Mark and two sisters, Iris and Audrey.  Also survived by her grandchildren, Kaylee, Matthew, Triston, Edward, Truly, Jayden, Kaydance, Porter and Hunter.
