Bruce Anderson

Bruce Alan Anderson, age 71, died the 3rd of November, 2022, following a long illness.

Born May 24, 1951 in Rifle, Colorado, he was the son of the late Frank and Alvera Anderson.  Bruce graduated Rifle High School, Rifle, Colorado, in 1969.

Bruce traveled to Canada and Maine, working in different industries as a young man.  He was co-owner of the Cozy Corner Restaurant in Rifle for several years during the 1970’s.  He was an inventor, tinkerer, mechanical wizard, gardener, scientist, and lover of nature.  He was quiet, but had a great sense of humor, “a creative genius whose life was a scientific experiment.”

Bruce was preceded in death by:  his father Frank, mother Alvera, half-brothers Charles Anderson and Don Walton, and half-sister Emma Gene West.  Bruce is survived by his half-sister Sarah Jean Henry, brothers Frank, Mark (Missy), Robin (Doe), his sisters Bonnie Calender, Melanie Sharp, Rhonda (Gene) Hughes, Marilyn Wilcox, and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.

He is loved and will be missed.

A memorial service will be held at a later date for family and friends.

Services have been entrusted to Browns Cremation and Funeral Services.
