Calvin Rae Monger

Calvin Rae Monger, age 80, passed away on August 6, 2023, in Grand Junction, Colorado. 

Calvin was born on June 8, 1943, in Montrose, Colorado to Gerald and Lovella Monger. Calvin graduated from Central High School in Grand Junction, Colorado. He went on to attend college at Mesa University until he joined the Navy in 1964. He served 11 years and 2 months. Many of those years were spent on the USS John F Kennedy. After his Naval career, he spent the next 45 years working in various areas of construction. 

Calvin is survived by his partner of many years, Deborah Billings; his son, Kevin Monger and wife, Kimberly, of Cedar Park, Texas; Stepdaughter, Denise McCleary and wife, Tanya of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Grandchildren, Richard McCleary and wife, Jessica; Amber Shelton; Dustin Monger; Timothy Monger and wife, Megan. Great-Grandchildren, Scarlett McCleary; Nathaniel Monger; Greyson Shelton. He is also survived by his brother, Troy Monger and wife, Nina. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Lovella Monger, and his brother Rick Monger.
