Carie Decker

Carie Lavern Decker passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home April 15th, 2018. Carie was born October 25th, 1961 in Craig Co to Kent and Dolores Decker. Her childhood was spent in Craig Co. after graduating from Moffat county high school. Carie moved to Grand junction Co to attend cosmetology school. Upon her graduation she had a long successful career. Carie spent 30yrs building her life with her husband Kim Kracht during those years she raised two step children. Carie and Kim had many adventures over the year, even if it was a day trip to their favorite fishing hole or time spent at Lake Powell. Carie and Kim enjoyed the quite time of sitting watching the stars together, for those moments nothing else mattered. After the passing of her mother Carie took on the role as mother to her extended family. She loved her brothers and sister and nieces and nephews. Never missed a birthday or special occasion. Everyone loved receiving those special gifts from Aunt Carie and we have sweet memories of the many celebrations in her home. Carie loved animals especially dogs. She loved and cared for her animals and truly treated them as part of the family. Carie is survived by her husband Kim Kracht and step son Bobbie Daniel. 3 brothers Harry, Gary and Larry Decker and 1 sister Sherry Quezada. She is also survived by 4 nieces and nephews 5 great nieces and nephews. Services to be announced at a later date. Carie was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.
