Carl Frederick Heskett, Jr., age 80 died January 17, 2022 following a brief illness. Born July 17, 1941 in Ringo, Kansas. He was the son of the late Carl Frederick Heskett, Sr. and Marie Maurizi Heskett. He graduated from High School from Washburn Rural High School in Topeka, Kansas and college from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Carl retired after working 42 years for the United States Government as a Civil Engineer. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved to go hunting, fishing and spending time with his beloved family. He also enjoyed fast cars, so much so he had a lot of fun driving his convertible mustang and watching NASCAR.
Carl is preceded in death by his father Carl Frederick Heskett, Sr. and mother Marie Maurizi Heskett. He is survived by his spouse Edna Stabler Heskett, sister Brenda Heskett-Kinnan (Tom), mother of his children Mary Louise Robinson, six children Carol Francis (Joe), Debbie Baum (Dan), Sean Heskett (Danny), Adam Heskett (Tami), Christopher Heskett (Lindsay), Melissa Hamrick (Trey), eleven grand children and a new grandson expected birth March 2022, many nieces and nephews, great nieces/nephews. He was loved by so many and had several long-term friendships.
Funeral Mass will be January 21, 2022 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic church, Grand Junction, Colorado at 10:30AM, reception to follow. Final resting place will be at Palisade Municipal Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made in the name of Carl Frederick Heskett, Jr. to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
