Carol Dee Bettridge

May 24, 1938 — June 11, 2024

Carol Dee Bettridge, age 86, died June 11, 2024, following a long illness.

Born May 24th, 1938, in Provo, Utah, she was the daughter of the late William and Dee Allman.

Carol graduated from Milford High School in Milford, Utah, and from the Cosmetology School in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska.

She was employed as an instructor at the Delta/Montrose Technical College in Colorado for many years. She was highly loved and admired by her students and brought great success to the school’s state board testing results.

She was a dedicated member of the Church Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served in many capacities.

She enjoyed dancing, cooking, cake decorating, and painting, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with and taking care of her family.

Carol was one of the kindest and most generous people you could ever meet. She was beyond hard working, and it was very rare to see her sitting down. For years she would work all day in the beauty school, come home to do hair in her home salon, cook and care for the family, and then clean until late at night, just to do it all again the next day. It was an absolute exercise of love, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Carol was preceded in death by her father (Morris Allman), her mother, (Dee Allman), her brother (Albert Allman), and her son (Curtis Bradshaw).

She is survived by her husband Wayne Bettridge, her children Chad Bradshaw, Christina (Jeff) Rusnak, and Kathie (Justin) Neff, her daughter-in-law Gina Bradshaw, her grandchildren Isaiah, Josh, Christopher, Tasha, Stacey, Kassie, Tad, Mellinda, Paige, Brett, Rachelle, Amanda, Tanner, Haydon, and her great grandchildren, Kasen, Ian, Malia, Jax, Reagan, Talon, Tatum, Brylee, Brynn, Ensley, Hadley, West, Waylon, Halen, and two on the way.

Viewing will be Saturday, June 15th, 2024, at 10am, and Funeral service will begin at 11am, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2235 Kingston Road, Grand Junction, CO, 81507.
