On July 14, Cesar Enrique Simental Marquez died from a fatal truck accident at the age of 42. He was doing his everyday load for work when he suddenly passed away.
Cesar was a son, father, brother, uncle, Padrino, friend, and soon-to-be grandpa. He was adored by many and will be greatly missed. He was the son of Gabriela Marquez and Enrique Simental. He was a brother to Valentin, Susana and Karina. He had three amazing boys, Angel (21), Isaac (14), and Sebastian (7). He also has three beautiful girls, Abril (11), Camila (8), and his nine-month-old Victoria. Cesar married his lovely wife, Cristina Gonzales Simental, on February 26, 2022.
Cesar was born in Mexico on September 5, 1979. He lived in Mexico for his entire childhood. Cesar and his family moved to the United States when he became older. Cesar moved to Garden City, Kansas, where he attended high school. After high school, he became a truck driver. He decided this was his favorite thing due to his love for cars. Cesar was also the mechanic in the family, where he would help fix everyone's car. If someone had a problem with their vehicle, he was the one to call. He was also an active member of his church.
Cesar had a ranch that he very much enjoyed. He had horses, goats, dogs, and many, many cats. You could say one of his favorite animals was horses. He enjoyed spending his free time riding horses. His favorite part about riding horses was that he was able to ride them with his family. He would take his son Angel Simental to ride horses with him often. Cesar began his love of horses in Mexico when his family taught him how to ride and train them, and since then, he has always loved them. One of his favorite things to do at his ranch was calf roping, except that instead of using a real calf, he had a fake calf.
One thing that was the most important thing to him was his family. Cesar took care of his family. If someone needed help, he would try his best to go straight there and help them. He would visit his mother, Gabriela Marquez, almost every day so she could see him and he could see her. He would do anything for them. Cesar would take his sister and his kids to the movies whenever a movie came out to spend quality time together. He loved his family very much.
Cesar was always happy, loyal, compassionate, a family man, hardworking, had the best smile, and was loving. He was accommodating. He would help people look for cars, or if they needed help fixing something in their house, he would go and help the best he could. He was also terrible at being on time. If we were trying to go on a road trip, he would say we were leaving at 6 am but would end up leaving at 7 am or even 8 am. But although he was very late for many things, including his wedding, this is something that we learned to love about Cesar. He could also be very stubborn, which is also something we grew to love about him. Cesar was also extremely friendly. He could walk into a situation where he doesn't know anybody, and towards the end, he would walk out with everyone being his friend. He had many, many friends.
Cesar Enrique Simental Marquez will forever be in our hearts. Although he will be missed, he will live on in our memories. Te amamos mucho Cesar! Fly high!

¡Vuela alto!
