Charlene’s profession was a Marketing Director and Advertising Associate. She also often enjoyed working for the Mather’s Family Bar. Most of all, Charlene’s favorite job was being a mother, a wife, a grandmother, a great grandmother, a sister, and a friend.

Charlene was known for singing songs to her children and her grandchildren, such as “High Silk Hat”, “I Love You, A Bushel and a Peck”, “Froggy Went A’Courtin’” and “You Are My Sunshine”. She also enjoyed spending time at the family’s ranch. One of her favorite hobbies was planting flowers and tending to her yard. Charlene enjoyed playing poker and spending time at the slot machines in casinos. She almost always came out on top.

Charlene was loving, fun, and absolutely hilarious. She was known for her thoughtful and nurturing heart and her, more than dedicated, devotion to her family.

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents and her son Paul.

Charlene is survived by her husband Dennis Paul McGilton, her daughter Katrina (Jeff) Willey, her grandchildren Dustin (Caroline) Willey, Landon Willey, Reid McGilton, Rhett McGilton, her daughter in-law, Hilary McGilton and great grandchildren Asher and Brekken Willey.

She is also survived by her brothers Thomas (Stacey) Mathers, Michael Mathers and her sisters JoAnn (Jerry) Miller and Mary (Bubbles Larue) Mathers. Charlene is also survived by her lifelong friend Sherrie (Paul) Knez. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, and other friends and family members.

A private service will be held in honor of Charlene in Grand Junction, Colorado. A celebration of life will be held this summer at the Mather’s Family Ranch.
