Charles Nathan Collins, age 75, died January 19, 2020, following a long illness.
Born August 20, 1944, in Montrose, Colorado, he was the son of the late Lecil and Charine Collins.
Charley graduated from Olathe High School and Western State College with a BA and MA.
Charley had been employed as a teacher for School District 51 for 20 years. He also worked as a superintendent for 10 years in California.
He was a member of St. Joseph's, enjoyed fishing and reading, and was dedicated to his family and to helping children. He was always hard-working and helpful.
Charley was preceded in death by his father, Lecil; mother, Charline; brother, Ronnie Collins, and sister, Esther Anderson.
Charley is survived by Penny, Ryan, Nate, Lynn (Darren), brothers, Jay Collins and Marvin (Bonnie) Collins, and grandchildren, Madi, Autumn, and Clarice Shriver.
