Chris Mitchel Henson, age 62, died Saturday August 20th, 2016 following a brief illness.
Born May 10th, 1954 in Ottumwa, Iowa the son of the late Bernard E. and Margaret A. Henson.
Chris was employed in the automotive industry, working in car sales and wholesaling for over 30 years.
Chris loved fishing on the Grand Mesa and spending time in Estes Park. He was an avid gardener growing his own tomatoes, strawberries and fruit trees. He enjoyed playing golf and watching sports and NASCAR.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard “Gene” Henson and Margaret Henson.
Chris is survived by is wife Glenda Cox of Clifton, CO. Sister Lee Anne Hofstetter (Joseph) from Prescott Az, brother Kyle Henson (Terri) from Bradenton Fl., and many nephews and nieces who loved him and fondly called him “Uncle Duke”.
We will miss his early morning calls, his charismatic personality, and his colorful ability to tell a story.
We know that he is with our heavenly father now.

A family time of remembrance was spent on Tuesday afternoon. Memorial services will be held Sunday August 28th at 2 pm at New Vision Assembly of God Church at 832 S. 7th Street Grand Junction, Co.
