Chris Garcia, born on March 18, 1952, in Oak Creek, Colorado, bid farewell to this world on June 15, 2024, in Grand Junction, CO. He was the beloved son of Chris Garcia and Frances Orenday.
Chris dedicated his life to the construction industry as a heavy equipment operator, finding joy in maneuvering various machinery with skill and precision. His passion for his work was evident to all who knew him. Educated at Central High School in Grand Junction, Chris laid the foundation for a successful career through hard work and dedication. Beyond his professional life, he was a man of many talents and interests. Cooking, hiking, and crafting with leather were among his favorite pastimes. His craftsmanship in creating unique items from leather brought smiles to the faces of family and friends.
Described as friendly, a jokester, and extremely outgoing, Chris's presence lit up any room he entered. Known for his willingness to extend a helping hand to friends and those in need, he touched the hearts of many with his kindness and generosity.
Following a period of illness, Chris Garcia departed from this earth surrounded by love and care. While we mourn his loss deeply, we also celebrate the memories he left behind.
In the journey beyond life, Chris is reunited with his parents and brothers who passed before him. He leaves behind cherished memories that will be forever held dear by his surviving sisters: Carol Gist of Grand Junction, CO; Leatrice Beach of Grand Junction, CO; Rebecca Cameron of Grand Junction, CO.
Chris Garcia's laughter, warmth, and compassion will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in peace.
