Luther was born in Lamar Colorado to Edwin and Rosalie Martin. He contracted polio at the age of 5. And was a poster child for Colorado. Despite having polio. He never let that control his life. He worked hard everyday of his life. He had worked many jobs. One of those was a civil engineering technician for the city of Grand Junction. He worked for the city for 25 plus years. He enjoyed wood working. Also loved the outdoors, going hunting, fishing and taking his family camping. He loved his family deeply and was proud of them all. He was proceeded in death by his father Edwin, mother Rosalie, brother "Lee" and daughter Joy LuRae. Luther left behind his wife of 54 years Cheryle Martin, daughter Melody Martin (husband Ed Fineberg), son Luther Martin Jr (wife Amanda Womack), daughter Judee Fitch (husband Ed Fitch). Nine grandsons Dean and Jesse Jarvis, Benjamin and Taylor Spencer, Kye and Jesse Womack, David and Loren Fitch, and Jacobe Martin. Plus several great grandchildren.
