Coye Harper

Coye Ethan Harper went to be with the lord on July 22nd, 2017 at the age of 27. Coye is survived by his parents, Lorraine and Walter Velasquez; siblings, Candace (Bobby) Giffin, Caleb Harper and Christopher (Brittany Beard) Velasquez; grandparents, Jake and Tonie Leyba and grandmother, Alma Harper. As well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Coye is preceded in death by his father, Randy Lynn Harper; grandfather, Lynn Harper and aunt, Tonie Leyba.

Coye was born on November 19th, 1989 in Grand Junction, Co to Lorraine and Randy. He graduated from Palisade High School in 2008. After graduation Coye moved to Missouri to be closer to his father. Once he moved back to Grand Junction, Coye began working for Asplundh where he excelled in his work and had a passion for his craft. It was an experience that combined his work ethic along with his love for the outdoors. He was a kind and generous individual with an energy that would radiate throughout any room he would enter. Coye’s love for his family and those closest to him was matched by none. He will be missed beyond words.

The celebration of our beloved Coye is scheduled for August 5th at 3:00 pm with a reception to follow at Jubilee Family Church of God. Pastor Hans Weston will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Coye’s life.
