Dale was the youngest child of 4 children. He is survived by his brother Bob Hunt and his sister Jan Frick. His brother Jack Hunt preceded him in death. They remained a close and loving family all their life. He had a close and loving relationship with his in laws as well.
He is survived by his wife Twila. They had a true and deep love for each other for 54 years. They had no children but they had many nieces and nephews that they love. If you ask any of them what was special about their Uncle Dale they would say "everything". He was always there for any of them. Dale was an easy going and fun loving guy. He had a way about him that attracted people to him. He lit up a room when he entered. When you were his friend he never judged you. You were just his friend. He made lifelong friends everywhere he went.
And he went a lot of places. He worked in the oil and gas drilling business which took him to many different countries. He started as a young man in "worms corner". One of those unique terms known only to the oil field. He also went to Kuwait and helped fight those fires. He retired as a drilling consultant. Along the way he tried to encourage many young men who worked for him.
Dale faced many challenges in his life from birth to death. He faced them head on with courage. He had determination and never backed down. He might not have always walked a straight line but he always thanked God for his accomplishments and had a deep faith in Christ.
He was also a great story teller. He had so many interesting stories from his experiences in different countries. In China he taught "oil field english" to the Chinese workers. Oil field english is terms and words unique only to the oil field. He had to deal with uprisings from the locals in Pakistan and Brazil. And there was the camel who took a liking to Dale. It would break away from its owner and find Dale. There are so many more stories along every step of his life.
