Dan Heinrich, 56, of Grand Junction passed away early November 10th, 2021, after a brief illness. He was born November 18th, 1964, to Joe and Rosie (Mariz) Heinrich.
He is predeceased by his dad, Joe, mom, Rosie, and brother, Mark. He is survived by his wife, the love of his life, Geneva “Neva,” daughters Bobbie Sue and Kara Rose, brothers Chris and Darren Heinrich, and countless loved ones and friends.
Dan was a straightforward man of few words. He valued family, tradition, and a simple life. Like his namesake, he was loyal, honest, and strong; the best man, husband, and father his family could have ever imagined. He loved hunting, fishing, and camping. The outdoors were his home.
He was a heavy equipment mechanic and welder by trade. He could fix anything and enjoyed teaching. He had a good sense of humor and helping hand for everyone he met.
A rosary will be held at Browns, 904 N 7th St on Friday, November 19th from 5:00 until 6:30pm.
Services will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 230 N 3rd St on Saturday, November 20th at 10:00am followed by cemetery service at Orchard Mesa Cemetery and a celebration of life at Eagles Lodge, 1674 HWY 50 at around 2:00pm until 5:00pm. (Anyone wishing to bring a dish to the celebration is able to drop off between 9:00 and 9:30am on Saturday if desired).
The family is extremely grateful for the staff at Community Hospital and the efforts their ICU team put forth during this difficult time.
Dan will be truly missed. All are welcome to attend services as you see fit. As we learn to survive without him, please honor Dan by offering an honest helping hand to those in need whenever possible.
