Daryl Eugene Hansen was born November 11, 1964 in Fresno, California and left this world on March 22, 2025 as the result of a massive heart attack. He was he son of Delbert Eugene Hansen, now of Fairbanks, Alaska and Diane Impink Hansen of San Diego, California.
As an adventurist young lad, traveled to Alaska to spend a school year in the arctic. During his junior high year he made the wrestling team and because there are few roads up there, his team flew to the many wrestling matches he enjoyed as a youth.
Daryl was a well known and accomplished flooring contractor in the Grand Valley of Grand Junction Colorado and beyond. He was a man with an extraordinary work ethic which followed him through his natural life.
He moved from San Diego, California to Vail where the work was more plentiful. He was able to get on the Ski Patrol where he could ski in the winter and carpet the hotels in the summer. That really put a smile on his face.
When Daryl met the love of his life Vicky, they decided to travel to Fairbanks, Alaska via the Alaska perform their first marriage service. They spent a romantic honeymoon going south on the Alkan highway. When they returned home, they were married the second time for the benefit of their families. It worked.
Daryl put his whole heart in anything did, whether it was his work or his play, and, he never met s stranger. He would greet you with a firm handshake and always with a bright smile or a hearty laugh.
Daryl liked to cook. He also liked to eat—voraciously. He loved his food, but a Carne Asada from Los Jilberto’s or a burger from In and Out. Because he was an adventures soul, he was open to try anything.
He was a loving husband, a dedicated father, a cherished son-in-law and friend to many, the titles of which he carried with pride.
He is survived by his wife Victoria Hansen, sons Dylan and Brett Hansen, Daughter Shelby Hansen, along with brothers Craig Reid and Doug Reid, sisters Terri Turner and Sherry Mote.
