Denise Judine DeYoung, born on August 8, 1962, in Ogden, Utah, passed away on July 19, 2024, in Grand Junction, Colorado, at the age of 61. Denise was a spirited and independent woman who cherished her time in the great outdoors. Her most cherished moments were spent camping with family on the Grand Mesa, embracing the tranquility and beauty of nature. Denise’s professional life as a truck driver was marked by a profound passion for the open road, a reflection of her love for freedom and adventure. Her enthusiasm for her career was paralleled by her dedication to her family and friends. Denise is survived by a loving family: her sister, Teresa; brother, David; children, Shannon, Zacheriah, Joshua, and Winter; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carolyn and John DeYoung, and her sister, Linda. A celebration of Denise’s life will be held at her residence at 334 Sherman Drive, Grand Junction, Colorado, on August 10, 2024, from 3-5 pm. This gathering will honor her memory and the indelible mark she left on the hearts of those she loved.
