DENNIS LEE ADEL

Dennis Lee Adel, 67, of Grand Junction, Colorado passed away on February 22, 2017 at his home. He was born on March 11, 1949 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Lars Adel in Kenosha, Wi.

After his graduation from Mary D. Bradford High School and the University of Wisconsin-Parkside he received Masters’ degrees from the University of Wisconsin, Madison; University of Illinois, Champagne, Illinois; and Eastern Washington University, Cheney, Washington.

Dennis is survived by his sisters, Judith Carlson, Estero, Florida; Karen Bonell, Brown Deer, Wisconsin; Lynda Waas, Mesa, Arizona; and Janet Tuten, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Constantineau, Sarasota, Florida and his brother, Richard Adel, Beverly Hills, Michigan. Dennis also had many nephews and nieces.

A memorial service will be planned for a later date. Dennis wrote the following epitaph “ Shed not for him the bitter tear; nor give the heart to vain regret; Tis but the casket that lies here; The gem that filled it sparkles yet.”
