Dewene Beth Lampshire

Dewene Beth Lampshire, age 77 passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024 peacefully at her home in Grand Junction, CO.

 Born on May 30, 1946 in Grand Junction , CO. she was the daughter of Leonard and Fern Smith. Dewene graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1964. She worked at Mesa State College for Sodexo up until her retirement. Dewene spent her career serving the students that she affectionately referred to as her "kids." 

She was a camping and fishing enthusiast alongside her late husband. Dewene took great joy in Christmas, spreading the spirit of the holiday to all and was the true heart of Christmas to her family and loved ones. Dewene was preceded in death by: parents Leonard and Fern Smith, husband Larry Warren Lampshire and grandson Brandon William Toms. 

Dewene is survived by: daughter Lenni Rae Bishop, son Todd Allen Toms, daughter Diana Richardson and stepsons Lonny and Randy Lampshire. 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  

Honoring the wishes of Dewene NO services will be held. She wanted everyone to remember her as she was when she entered their lives.
