Don Alfred Baker, age 57 of Grand Junction, CO passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at St. Marys Hospital.
Born October 2, 1957 in Lafeyett, TX, he was the son of the late Alfred L. and Christina Crippin Baker.
Following high school, Don took many training courses in Diesel Mechanics. He was licensed and had certificates affirming his competency to work on every aspect of simi-tractor trailers and other heavy trucks. He worked on big-rigs for Tyson Foods for over 20 years.
He loved fishing and liked to collect unique knives. He also loved dragons and had a dream of getting a dragon tattoo. Because he wasn't able to fulfill this wish before he died, a dear friend is drawing a special dragon for Don and it will be placed lovingly in his urn.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy Lane, a daughter, Krista (Sean) Yule of Oklahoma City, OK, a son, Jason (Karmen) Baker of Jay, OK, and three grandsons, Austin Lillich, Elgine, OK, Landon Baker, Jay, OK and Ayden Yule of Oklahoma City, OK.
Also left behind but not forgotten are his K9 campanion, a Chiweenie "Fred" and two cats, "Carmel" and "Stripper"
