Donald Eugene Dial, age 73, died October 14, 2022, following a long illness.
He was born on November 20, 1948, in Grand Junction, Colorado, to Mancil and Mary Dial. He graduated from Grand Junction High School and attended Mesa Junior College.
As a young man he was employed by Dial Insulation Company for a number of years. He worked for Dixon Inc. as a draftsman for a couple of years. Then in 1971 he went to work for Millar Coffee Company as a warehouseman and a delivery driver. In 1973 he was promoted to salesman and was relocated to Durango, Colorado. After Millar's closed down he went to work for Shamrock Restaurant Supply and was with them for a couple of years. Then worked with Kraft for a few years, then went to Sysco and was transferred to Gallup, NM for seven years. Then he was transferred back to Grand Junction in 1995. He found work with Grand Valley meats for a couple of years and Anderson publishing, and Halliburton until retiring in 2009.
Don was very active with the Boy Scouts, as a leader and Scout Master. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and camping. In college he was active with Circle K.
He was a very friendly kind hearted man that would go out of his way to help anyone. He believed heavily in family and developing relationships and friendships.
He was preceded in death by His Mother Mary and Father Mancil, his nephew Justin and Brother Floyd.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Judy Dial, Son Scott Dial (Shilo Steele), Brother Bruce Dial (Rose Dial), Sister Barbra Pengilley 2 grandkids, 5 great grandkids, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be 24 October 2022 1:00PM at Brown's 904 N 7th St, Grand Junction CO 81501
