Donna Hinton

Donna Marie Hinton, 78, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2021 at Hope West Hospice in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Donna was born on November 12, 1942 in Denver, Colorado to the late Ron and Elsie Blumer. She grew up in Denver and graduated from Lutheran High School. She later attended Mesa College (CMU) in Grand Junction where she met her late husband, Leroy Henry ‘Hank’ Hinton Jr. They were married on November 3, 1962, and resided in Denver until they moved to Parker, Colorado in 1974 and spent the past 20 years in Fruita, Colorado.

Donna was a beautiful soul with a kind heart. She was a loving and supporting wife, mother and sister. She enjoyed golf and skiing in her younger days but her passion was always singing. She was involved in Sweet Adelines and loved singing in the church choir. Donna’s greatest joys were her grandchildren, whom she loved spending time with.

She is survived by her brothers Ron (Gail) Blumer and Gary (Diane) Blumer; daughters Carrie (Dan) Gumber and Chery (Ross) Goldberg; grandchildren Christina, Colton and Brandon Kirkutis and Traver and Spencer Goldberg. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Hank.

Donna will be laid to rest next to her husband Hank at the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Grand Junction, CO. Due to COVID regulations, a small family celebration of life will be held following services at the cemetery.
