Doreen Jelene Harvey

Doreen was born July 10, 1980 in Tuba City, Arizona, into the Kin ł ichii'nii (Red House People Clan), born for Hasht ł 'ishnii (Mud Clan), maternal clan, Naakaii Dine’é (Mexican Clan), and her paternal clan, Táchii’nii (Red Running Into the Water Clan). She passed away on a warm sunny Colorado day on April 22, 2025 in Grand Junction. She is now with her fur babies Zuko and Loki.

Doreen graduated from Coconino High School in 1998 then graduated from Intellic College in Grand Junction. She was a force of nature, out spoken and always showed her emotions to all her family and friends. She loved fishing and being outdoors as much as she could, she loved going to the Colorado mountain passes. She loved listening to music, watching movies, cooking shows and was one of the biggest fans of the Colorado Avalanche Hockey Team.

Doreen is survived by her parents, Dennis and Rosemary Harvey; half brother Phil Begay; sister Raine Harvey-Cooper; brother, Calvin Harvey; brother, Darren Harvey; nieces and nephews.

Doreen is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Jim and Bertha Harvey; maternal grandparents, Calvin and Thelma Manymules; half-brother, Leonard Begay; brother, Dennison Harvey; and various uncles, aunts and cousins. She was loved by her friends and family. Doreen had many close friends who will miss her dearly.

Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at Flagstaff Church of the Nazarene, 3505 E Soliere Ave, Flagstaff, AZ 86004, on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Noon. Please bring a dish to share.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution in memory of her name to your local homeless or animal shelter. She loved helping the homeless community.
