Doris Randall went to her glory on October 12 at Hope West after an exacerbation of congestive heart failure.
Born May 13, 1932 in Seibert, CO to Jessie and Everett Kintigh, Doris was the 2nd of 5 children. After high school graduation, she married Bud Randall in 1951. They moved to Walsenburg, then to Cortez where she became a beloved high school cafeteria manager. Bud's City Market promotion brought them to Grand Junction in 1979 where Doris continued managing school cafeterias until her retirement. After retirement, Doris & Bud enjoyed wintering with friends near Parker Dam, California. In the summer they loved visiting family and friends in Grand Junction and Alaska.
Doris was an avid Broncos & Rockies fan and card player. She made friends with every small child she met and her grandchildren prized her sense of fun, prolific craft projects, and penchant for secret ice cream trips. We will all miss her "planned-overs" and sense of humor.
Doris and Bud were married for 63 years before his death in 2014. She is survived by their children Debbie (Frank), Pat (Harry), Doug, and Mickey (Lori), 13 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Monday November 1, at 11 am at Bookcliff Baptist Church and will be streamed live. Details via
