Our beloved son, Dylan, tragically passed in an Polaris accident in Colorado. He felt invincible, was full of life, and was taken too soon. He was visiting his cousin in Placerville, Co and loved her ranch. The family thanks the community and Paramedics that tried to help him.
Dylan was born in Wailuku,Hi, Dylan was at the prime of his life, had many friends, was a leader in his community, and always had a smile to share. Creative, athletic, a gentle soul, and a visionary, he moved between worlds with the greatest of ease. He was excited for 10th grade, completing high school, going to college, then making his mark on the world.
His father, Kevin Collins, taught him to kite surf at a young age, but he truly excelled at wing foiling. He was a smooth waterman, loved the ocean, and you probably met him at park onMaui’s North Shore.
He travelled extensively for his young age, but loved his home in Haiku. He had a dog named Sunny, several cats and a deep love of all animals. Dylan is loved by his Step-Father Brendan, sister, Jeni, and brother, Noah, MJ, Allan grandmother, and cousins, all who will greatly miss him. Our loss is devastating, and we only hope that his life will inspire others to be their best. Please teens, remember that you have so many people who love you - take care of yourself and be safe.
