Eli Grant Reed, age 19, died Saturday, June 23, 2018 after a sudden and tragic accident on his motorcycle.
Born October 23, 1998 in Grand Junction, Colorado, he was the son of Mike and Grace Reed of Eustace, Texas.
Eli worked for the family business, Classic Lawns, for many years serving the Grand Valley. This spring he began a new job with his cousin, David Gingerich, with Accent Lawn Care.
He rode his motorcycle with two local motorcycle clubs. He was affectionately dubbed “The Club Police”, as he was very law and safety conscious. He loved riding his motorcycle every chance he had for the relaxation. Eli made friends at a glance or a wave and was known and loved for his kind, gentle spirit. Eli attended two different local churches and touched many lives.
Eli is survived by his parents, Mike and Grace Reed; sisters Michelle Stover (Brian) of Eustace, TX, Meloni Reed of Boise, ID, Merryn Reed of Fruita, CO and sister Mikayla and brother Joseph still at home and three nieces, Emily, Erica, and Eliana.
He was preceded in death by his paternal Grandmother, Brenda Hughes.
Visitation will be Friday, June 29 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the LDS Church, 2542 G Road, Grand Junction. Services will be held on Saturday, June 30 at 10:00 a.m. at the LDS Church, 2542 G Road. Interment will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in Fruita, Colorado following the services.
A meal will be provided following the burial at the LDS Church, 417 E Ottley Ave., Fruita, CO. Everyone is welcome .
